Wild and wintery weather in the bush

We have had very heavy rains over the last 2 days and if you have gumtrees on your property - watch out!  After wild and windy squalls and heavy rain during the middle of yesterday, a massive gumtree fell over and smashed through into our horse arena!  It is going to take Ken days to clean up that mess and repair the fence.  A tree fell over at our neighbour's place as well.  Then last night, just as I was about to serve up dinner, the power went off for 3 hours - another joy of living in the bush with gumtrees!  On the plus side, we played cards by candlelight with the family.  I really enjoyed that!
