The Harlot - accused

by Sharon

The scene changes now from the dusty city square here on earth to the court in heaven.  The harlot stands before the great throne of judgment.  The accuser of the brethren steps forward.

“He was listing off my sins one by one and the thing was he was telling the truth, guilty, guilty, guilty.  He was right.  I was guilty ... and there was nothing I could do.  Face down.”

Have you ever heard the enemy whispering to you and listing off your sins one by one?  We know we’ve all sinned somewhere along the line.  I know I have.  There have been words or actions, or things I’ve been a part of that I have regretted and now find so hard to forget.  The enemy brings them up at the most inappropriate times and I feel condemned all over again.  I feel bad about myself and down on myself.  I feel worthless.  I feel there is no hope for change.  I feel there is no hope for my future.  It will always be like this.  Condemned!  Guilty!

But in those places of shame and brokenness I have encountered Jesus.  He has changed everything!  He has forgiven me, washed me and restored me to such a degree that I now have authority in those broken areas to lead out other captives.  How good is that!!

If you feel you are being held captive to your shame and brokenness, then come to Overflow on Sunday night and encounter Jesus.  What He has done for  me He will also do for you!
