My birthday

I had a wonderful birthday yesterday.  Thanks to all of you who sent me birthday greetings.  The day was filled with visits from my kids, family and friends.  We ate even more croquettes, lemon meringue pie and almond butter cake.  Yum!  Yum!  It was lovely to share a family meal together and to be lavished upon.  One memorable event that happened during the day was the hail storm.  It looked like it had snowed outside.  My chooks were wandering outside in the backyard when it suddenly arrived with black ominous clouds and stormy winds.  They couldn't find their way back inside their pen straight away and I almost thought I would have to enter the hailstorm to rescue them!  I'm pleased to report they did finally find the gate and safety whilst I stayed warm and dry!
