How are you finding the cold weather in Melbourne?

How are you finding the cold and wet weather of Melbourne over the last few weeks?  I am finding it tough going - it is just so cold!  I find the only redeeming feature of the month of July is my birthday and the flowers that begin to bloom.  I have a Lorraine Lee climber that is just coming into bud and bloom - a creamy apricot.  This is the first rose of the season and it starts in winter.  Last year I had over 40 flowers.  I know because I counted them.  This year the climber is twice as long and so I expect it will bloom profusely.   All my other roses still need to be pruned though.  I also have a vibrant purple Happy Wanderer growing on my fence and the first daffodils have opened their golden trumpets.  Bring on Spring!
